Build Essential Skating Skills – For All Ice Sports

Figure Skating

Skaters develop precise edge work, timing, and strength while learning to combine technical elements with musical interpretation and performance skills.

Hockey or Ringette

Hockey and ringette are exciting ice sports that help skaters develop essential skills including speed, agility, and precise puck or ring control using specialized sticks.

Speed Skating

Skaters build strong leg muscles, cardiovascular fitness, and precise body positioning while learning to maintain maximum speed through turns and straightaways.

Recreational Skating

Participants develop fundamental skating skills while improving core strength and spatial awareness in a relaxed, non-competitive environment.

Our Learn-to-Skate & STAR Skating Programs

Pre-CanSkate is designed for children (ages 3-5yrs), with the focus on helping skaters develop balance and coordination with an emphasis on having fun through the use of music, games and toys.

CanSkate is designed for all ages (although age 5yrs+ is a guideline), with the focus is on fun, participation and basic skill development that can be used for figure skating, hockey, ringette and synchronized skating.

Unique in Canada, this program teaches figure skating skills in a group and/or private lesson format and includes specifically designed awards and incentives. Skaters may take Skate Canada Tests through a nationally standardized testing system.
